a good good day.

it's saturday. so, already, today kicks every other day of the week's arse.

BUT.

the buck doesn't stop there.

the sun is shining. the temperature is next to perfect. my ipod is on shuffle and it's like each song is better than the next. and that NEVER happens.

and i haven't even gotten to the good stuff yet.

this morning i met emily, xavier, abby and murphy. after schlepping the two bambinos and all of the bambino gear into the car, we traveled on over to grand rapids to attend the rotary antique show.

somehow i only managed to snap one photo. here she be.

the pickings were just okay, but i managed to not leave empty handed.

this wee jadeite planter made its way home to 367.

and so did these storage containers. i am really happy with them. the vendor really wanted to emphasize that they aren't antiques, but i couldn't care less. they're way too cute.

did you hear? anthropologie opened yesterday in breton village. ohmygosh there's an anthro in west michigan!

so we went. of COURSE we went. and it was gorgeous. obviously.

just to make sure it doesn't go out of business and hangs around in west michigan for years to come, i cough donated cough some of my hard-earned money to the cause and left with some goodies.

a new flowy top. it's truly lovely.

christmas is right around the corner (as in next month!) so it's time to think about gussying up the christmas tree.

gerty will be making an appearance on the tree, too. albeit backwards.

this angel food scented candle makes me salivate. and it's cute to boot.

after doing lunch at the twisted rooster, the girls, little men and i parted ways. when i turned into my driveway, i saw one of my very favorite sights: a little brown package waiting on my doorstep. come on, you guys. getting packages could not be more fun. inside the box was my new 50mm camera lens.

so of course i had to take a picture of anything and everything that would stand still.

clearly i still have a lot to learn about lighting, focus, etc. but the learning process is the fun part. gerty and norah better head for the hills asap because they are my number one test subjects.

thank you for treating me so well, saturday. i'm looking forward to hanging out with your twin sister, sunday, tomorrow.

see you in seven.
