more adventures in antique shopping.

whilst out and about the other day, i made a quick pit stop at the wooden shoe antique mall. if you don't remember my first antique related post, catch up on that here. i think you know me well enough to know that i was on a jadite hunt. spoiler alert: i came up empty handed. but that didn't stop me from finding a few things that tickeled my fancy. they weren't the sort of things on which i was willing to drop some major cash, but i wouldn't kick them out of bed for eating crackers (meghan, did i use this saying in the right context? it probably only applies to men...).

i don't know what you would call this little piece of furniture. but i like it. it looks like it lived in a library in a former life. i'd like to plop it in a dining room for extra storage space or an entry way...if my house had a proper entry way.

my spidey sences went cuh-razy when i saw this piece. she'd look great in any room of the house with a fresh coat of paint. new hardware might be in order, too, since she's missing her handle from her bottom cupboard. doesn't this piece remind you of eddie ross' hutch redo? this project has been all over the internet forever, but if you haven't checked it out, you need to.

the green on this old school milkshake mixer sent my heart all a-flutter. although i do love me some milkshake, i wasn't willing to shell out a benjamin for a piece of kitchen equipment with limited function--no matter how pretty and jadite-esque it was.

all in all, there weren't not too many exciting finds at the good old wooden shoe. except for the cinnamon roll from the wooden shoe restaurant located right across the hallway. which i ate promptly and sans regret. okay, maybe a little regret.
