let's face it. craigslist is a little weird and sometime
scary. but, if you are a frugal shopper who doesn't mind putting a little elbow grease into somebody else's junk, it can be a goldmine. i've had about 12 "almost purchases" on craigslist. i contacted the sellers and then backed out because i was afraid i'd never be heard from again if i went to check out the merchandise. i've had one actual purchase: gertrude. that's right, the only time i was ever able to man up and follow through on a craigslist transaction was when it came to my fur baby. i took her (and her giant cage) home for $200. spayed, vaccinated and ready to go. not bad considering many purebred
great dane puppies can cost around $1000.
if craigslist intimidates you, here are some really cool vintage furniture pieces that will be sure to lessen the intimidation factor. all of these are from sellers within the greater grand rapids area.
this pendant kills me. brass is back, baby.
