meatball party.

warning: the following recipe is not a weight watcher recipe. in fact, you'll probably gain a few pounds just by reading this post. don't say i didn't warn you.

on sundays my whole family gets together at my parents' house. dogs and all. we watch sports (by 'we' i mean 'they'), we play cards, we snack, and we dine. yes, snacking and dining are two different categories of consumption, although most families with normal appetites would consider our snacks meals. tonight's meal was one of my favorites: grandma maroni's meatballs. ps, guess who figured out how to link websites. click it. i promise it will work.

this was a girls only party. no boys allowed...not that they offered to help. even gerty girl wanted a piece of the action. normally i would have participated much more than i did tonight, but for blogging purposes, i spent most of the time behind the camera. you know how it is.

lots of garlic goes into this recipe, therefore lots of chopping goes into this recipe. thank you, lindsey, for volunteering.

mom and i were on rolling duty. it's a nasty job, but someone has to do it. i just wish that someone wasn't me.

look, photographic proof that i helped. i stirred that sauce at least twice.

throw that saucy, meaty goodness over some pasta with a little homemade mozzarella garlic bread, salad and vino and you've got yourself a gutbomb of a tasty meal. the best part of this meal is making it with people you love. grab your family or friends and give it a try.

i love cooking with people. let's get together for a saturday evening meal. any takers?
