this girl's kitchen. that's what.
many moons ago, when i was a young 26 year-old, before wall street had been occupied, when the words 'blue' and 'ivy' were just nouns and not a proper noun, and before kim kardashian became a divorcee, i asked for your help. i asked you to help me select shelf paper to line the open shelving in my kitchen. you voted. half of you told me to go with the orange cross option. the other half told me to go with the swirly orange option.
so what did i do? i bucked both of those options and went with the third orange option, to which i warmly refer as orange geometry.
my mom ordered me three rolls of this awesome laminated vinyl paper from chic shelf paper for my birthday. after lots of measuring, remeasuring (math = hard), cutting, lining and squeegeeing, i now have some beautifully lined shelving.
which means i was able to do something that i have been waiting to do for months: get my gee-dee dishes off of my gee-dee dining room table and back onto the shelves. right where they belong.
i'm a little bit in love with the green/orange/gray color combo.
oh! and have i mentioned that i'm almost done painting the cabinets gray? of course i haven't mentioned that. i haven't talked to you in ages. the outer frames are all painted and now i just need to paint the doors. progress, baby! let's take a little walk down memory lane.
we're getting there, you guys. slowly but surely.
