fast food-induced seizure.

you guys. let me tell you about my past 24 hours.

i was sent on an all expenses paid "business trip" with a co-worker of mine. it was a day long conference in saginaw, mi, which is about a three hour drive from home. my co-worker/travel partner and i did not know each other very well before this trip (but she turned out to be a great travel partner), so i did my best to not talk about things that i normally talk about (reality tv, bodily functions, the fiber content of random foods, etc). to sum it up, my primary goal was to act like a normal, professional person.

all was going according to plan until i saw this:

i morphed out of business casual sarah and yelled "SHUT THE HELL UP! IT'S HOT N NOW! PULL OOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR!"

my poor co-worker went from expecting a nice, sit-down dinner (paid for by the school, thankyouverymuch) to eating a $2.10 meal in a fast food parking lot. not to mention the crazy lady sitting next to her with tears in her eyes and a tremble in her throat.

things got even more awkward when we returned to our hotel and had to walk by the concierge (if that's what you want to call it at a holiday inn express) who spent about 15 minutes describing nice, sit-down restaurants in the area. we returned 10 minutes later. bellies full of beef.

should make for an interesting weigh-in tomorrow. not to mention an interesting work environment between my co-worker and i.

i'm sure she thinks i have tourettes.
