knock knock.
who's there?
orange.
orange who?
orange you glad i'm not painting another room in my house gray?
remember how i tore my kitchen apart? don't worry. sometimes i forget, too, since i haven't stepped into the room in about a decade. which is a problem since, uh, it's the kitchen. i've been whacked on the head by the procrastination fairy once again. she's a mean little witch-but-with-a-B.
one thing i have decided is that the back entry will be painted a bold shade of orange. but man-oh-maningham there are a lot of shades of orange out there. i'm having a dickens of a time making up my mind. i originally thought i'd go with serena and lily's persimmon:
and i still think it's lovely. but it turns out i think just about everything orange is lovely.

like this orange parrot paint by benjamin moore.

and this shade with coral undertones.

and this bold orange that packs a powerful punch. keep in mind that my back entry is tiny (that's what she said?), so this would definitely make a statement.

or there's this shade of burnt orange (does anyone else struggle with burnt vs. burned?). more traditional if you ask me, but maybe that's because this is a more traditional foyer.

the middle peachy color is also tempting. it would be paired with a gray similar to the top shade.

jewelled peach by benjamin moore is also tempting.
will you please just choose for me? i'd really appreciate it. the sooner i buy a gallon of paint, the sooner i'll be motivated to get my act in gear again. i'm not kidding--it looks like hurricane irene decided to whip up an omelette in my kitchen and then skedaddled without cleaning up. rude.
1. Orange Parrot
ReplyDelete2. The Corally One
3. Jewelled Peach
well i like the orange room with the white bed and the chandy best.
ReplyDeleteI like the burnt orange and then the coral orange (the one with the bed), personally.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried getting testers? I love testers. I thought I had picked out the perfect shade of yellow for the living room. Until I painted it on the wall. Ewww. It is so ugly, no matter what time of day or light. I think orange probably might run into the same issue. Either way, I love orange as your pick!
I love me some orange... my kitchen is mainly orange!
ReplyDeleteI like Orange Parrot first, then the Coral one and then serena and lily's persimmon
I like the middle peachy one, but if you are going for the statement color, I think the jewelled peach is the best.
ReplyDeletebedroom coral orange or the middle peachy would be tempting...with gray. let me know.
ReplyDeletethanks, all, for the input. i'll be sure to let you know. obviously.
