addiction is serious business.

carnie wilson has food. david hasselhoff has booze. snooky has tanning. and i have blogs. mine is an addiction to which, i pray to god, has no cure. no, i don't have an addiction to my own blog, but i'm probably hooked on yours. i'm a creature of habit (but, really, who isn't?) so i tend to check the same blogs every day. and every day my list grows a little longer. in an effort to spread the love, i'd like to share some of my favorites with you. consider it an early cinco de mayo present. because we just don't get enough of those.

the blog that started my blazing obsession: young house love. when i bought my house in 2009, i thought there was no way in h-e-doublehockeysticks i could live with the avocado green sink, toilet and tub in my bathroom. so i googled some DIY ideas to solve said problem. google led me to john and sherry and it was love at first sight. side note, i've learned to love my avocado buddies. so glad i didn't get rid of them. you probably disagree, but i won't hold it against you.

those of you who share my blog obsession understand that when you read one, it tends to lead you to another. such is the case with bower power. young house love led me to katie b. at bower power. i want to be friends with them. stella bella is one of my new favorites. check out her baby's nursery. then picture that room in my house someday. because i'm going to steal it. i'm not above that.

there's no such thing as being too organized. deliciously organized proves it. and gives me something to shoot for. i have a LOT of work to do.

okay, this addition to the list requires an explanation. reading blogs makes you feel like you know the author. really well. abby at life inside a downtown farmhouse is a great example. abby and i have some small town connections (her MIL and my mom are long time friends and she is good friends with my friend, emily). but we've never met. which is really hard to believe. her house and blog are amazing, but according to her blog, she now permanently resides in italy. go to her blog. bug her. make her update. abby, if you're reading this, i hope you can appreciate this subtle nudge. wink wink.

jenny at little green notebook is blogging royalty. her tutorials are awesome. she lives in NYC. she's a mother of three. kind of makes me want to vom. but i can't stop reading.

if you don't already read enjoying the small things, you're missing out. kelle's writing is outtathisworld, but her pictures are even more amazing. maybe it's the special education teacher in me, but i just can't get enough of sweet little nella.

the number one reason i want to learn how to sew? made. this freakin' blog provides some very helpful tutorials and great photos to accompany those toots.

three men and a lady offers some jaw-dropping furniture transformations. it's also a testament to the power of craigslist.this might be a sweeping generalization, but most people dream of moving to paris, don't they? that's exactly what jordan at oh happy day did. and she took her cute family and equally cute blog with her.

this list is only a small fraction of the entire beast that is my blog list. and i'm always open to suggestions. am i missing out on something? can you add to the obsession? do i need to save you a seat at the next bloggers anonymous meeting? i hope there will be cookies...
