fake it until you make it.

i know i've mentioned this before, but i need me some spring. yesterday confirmed it.

it all started when i went to get a manicure with my friend, emily. i picked out my color ('don't mess with' by O.P.I.), sat down in the chair, and proceeded to enjoy my 20 minutes or so of pampering. everything was going swimmingly. but then the sweet little manicurist picked up my freakishly transparent hand, shook it around a little bit and (while giggling) mocked me by saying "you so white! you so white!"

well, isn't that just a kick in the pants?

i'm officially taking proactive measures to will spring into action. if you're lusting for spring like i am, feel free to do the same.

when i think spring, i think flowers. i made a trip to the local exotic flower shop (meijer) and picked up this cute little pot of flowers. i threw away the little floral card before reading what type of flowers they are. my bad. anyone with a green thumb, feel free to chime in.

nothing says spring (especially in holland, michigan) like a bunch of yellow tulips.

swapping out winterish dish towels for springy alternatives is a sure way to get you sprung. too much?

put away your spice and bake good scented candles and pick up a light and fruity alternative. this one is a winner.

if you can't smell spring in the air, this line of perfume will help. i absolutely love it. my favorite is clean warm cotton.
