kitchenspiration.

it worked. posting about my dining room dreams gave me the little kick in the rear that i needed. in fact, i even did some more wall paper scraping last night. the motivation only lasted for about twenty minutes, but i suppose that's better than nothing. in the spirit of motivation and all things beautiful, here are some snaps of kitchens that tickle my fancy. i appologize for not listing photo sources. i have had these saved on my computer way before my adventure in blogging commenced, so i have no clue to whom i should give photo creds. sorry, talented designers.

this kitchen is like reese witherspoon: clean, sweet, and bright. i'm loving the neutral tones with splashes of color here and there. my favorite part is the coordinating pendant and bar stools. tres cute.

wouldn't you kill to have a pantry organized like this? it reminds me of kate winslet: poised, polished and smokin' hot. and how cute are those three dangling light fixtures? the answer is 'way cute.'

this kitchen is julia roberts: timeless with modern elements to make her interesting. i'd kill to have a sitting area attached to my kitchen. i'm also digging the faux candle lighting fixture and concrete countertops on the right side of the room. yum.

this last one is my favorite. she's kristen stewart: moody and so in right now. don't worry, kristen stewart is not my favorite actress. as if. look at how well organized the open shelving is. i will be painting my cupboards gray based on this photo alone. i think i'm in love.

so tell me, what do you look for when dreaming about kitchens? or am i the only one who dreams about kitchens...?

  1. The house we're in now has open cupboards and we hate them! Thankfully we have cute dishes and the cupboards are always organized, but certain ones always look terrible (like the spice cupboard).

It makes me feel good that I'm not the only who finds kitchens so important :) It's a deal-breaker for me!

  2. I hear ya. I do not support displaying food in open shelving. Luckily you have cute dishes. I'm using my parents' wedding dishes...brown ugly things. Someday I'll be an adult and purchase things that I like...

  3. I dream about kitchens...a lot. I want two ovens, a huge island with a stovetop, a sitting area and good, good flow through the whole thing.
